RICE:

40 g/3 tbsp spread (or ghee or oil) (Note 3)

1 onion , finely hacked

3 garlic cloves , minced

2 tsp ginger , finely hacked or ground

1/2 containers (275g) basmati rice, uncooked (Note 4)

2 little carrot , stripped and ground

2 1/4 containers (560ml) chicken or vegetable soup, low sodium (Note 5)

2 containers (300g) solidified peas

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp dark pepper

Completions:

1 container (150g) cashews , broiled, unsalted

1/2 container coriander/cilantro leaves , finely hacked

Yogurt , for serving (discretionary)

How to Make:

  1. Wash rice until water runs really clear, at that point channel well. (Note 4)
  2. Liquefy margarine in a little to medium pot (or substantial pan) over medium high warmth.
  3. Include garlic and ginger, cook 30 seconds. Include onion and cook for 2 minutes until somewhat translucent.
  4. Include carrot and cook for 2 - 3 minutes until mollified and sweet.
  5. Add rice and mix to coat every one of the grains in the oil.
  6. Add Flavors and blend to coat the rice.

  9. Cook for 14 minutes, don't look while cooking!
  10. Lift cover somewhat and rapidly tilt pot to check to guarantee fluid has been ingested. Clasp cover back on and expel from warmth.
  11. Represent 10 minutes, undisturbed.
  12. Utilize an elastic spatula to tenderly cushion the rice. (Note 6)
  13. Include the majority of the cashews and coriander, mix through.
  14. Exchange to serving bowl, sprinkle with residual cashews and coriander. Find in post for serving thoughts
